Created in Adobe After Effects. This piece came out of an experiment with stock footage I found. At first I'd thought about using the clouds for a cruise ad, but I thought that was a little too easy, so I decided to do a shoe ad instead. Below are storyboards for a different Nike project I ended up dropping. When I started this piece, I wanted it to be completely different from the original Nike animation that I had planned. To that extent, I think I was successful.
I did use some of the work I had done for the old Nike animation. This is some of my typeface exploration--it helped me a lot when it came time to do this piece.
